All members of TPS are welcome to join the Nature Group meetings.
The group meets in the clubrooms in Howard Street on the second Saturday morning of the month at 10:30am - 12 noon.
Dates for group meetings in 2025-26 are:
  • 13th September 2025 - A review of our Summer Project - Out and about in Nature - your images from over the summer break.
  • 11th October 2025 - Nature in the City - Images of how nature is living and adapting in an urban setting. 
  • 8th November 2025 - On the Beach - Seascapes, wildlife, plants and textures.
  • 10th January 2026 - A Tree - Your images of a tree and how it sits in the landscape.
  • 14th February 2026 - Insects, birds and animals - The images you have captured of natures wonderful and varied creatures. 
  • 14th March 2026 - Nature in Black & White - Textures and forms of the natural world take on a dramatic look in black and white. 
  • 11th April 2026 - A day out to Northumberland Zoo - All members welcome.
At each meeting there will be a review of the previous month's project and resulting images. Members will talk about how they achieved their images, give hints and tips on locations, editing, and any equipment used. This will hopefully help the group advance in their photography. The next month's project will be given and members will discuss how they intend to achieve their assignment. Nature is a vast and wonderful subject and with a monthly project we hope to cover a range of topics including - landscapes, water, plants & fungi, trees, birds and insects.
Being outdoors is good for the soul and so hopefully members will enjoy these projects.
The group will be self-supporting with all members being able to contribute ideas and information.
